Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 September 2026. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Your name and email address when you create an account.
  • The information you enter into the tools: payslip figures, hours, kilometres, employer or contractor names, carrier rate cards, vehicle costs and break-even assumptions.
  • Basic technical information such as your browser type and error logs.
  • Payment records — handled by our payment provider, who never gives us your card number.

Why we collect it

To run your account, save your data across devices, produce your rate calculations and review documents, take payment, and answer support requests. We do not sell your data and we do not share your individual pay figures with employers, carriers or anyone else.

Where it is stored

Your data is stored in a managed cloud database with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted so that only you can read your own records. Some processing may occur on servers outside Australia; we only use providers with appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

While your account is open, and for a short period afterwards so an accidental deletion can be reversed. Delete your account from the account page and your saved data is removed.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@payloadpay.app. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Cookies and advertising

We use the storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. We also use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure whether people who click our ads go on to create an account. Where required by law, we ask for your consent first and you can change that choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

When you create an account after clicking one of our ads, we may share your email address with Google in hashed form so Google can measure that signup. We do not share any other personal information with Google, and we never sell your data.
